Role: Lecturer – Health and Social Care

Location: Kettering Campus

Working Pattern: 37hr (1.0 FTE)

About the role:

We are looking for a Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join ourCare, Childcare and Counselling department at Tresham College. As aLecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels.
  • Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
  • Managing students’ learning and provide a high-quality learning experience.
  • Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
  • Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.

About you:

  • Certificate in Education ( or willing to work towards)
  • Heath and Social Care related qualification at Level 3 and above or equivalent in related subject area
  • English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent
  • Vocational experience in Health and Social care
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and work effectively to deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
