Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Fixed term contract for 10 months

Salary: Approx. up to £24,500 per annum FTE (dependant on experience and pro-rated for part time employees)

Milton Keynes College is recruiting an Administrator to join the Prison Education team based at HMP Winchester.
As an Administrator, you will be a capable and experienced administrator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will provide a high-quality service to both internal and external stakeholders at the prison and the wider College team.
This opportunity involves supporting the Department Manager in the day-to-day administration and operations of the department. You will also be engaging directly with prisoners, working with groups of prisoners while facilitating mandatory assessments. Your ability to work on your own initiative is critical for this role and you will need to have a flexible and resilient approach to your work as it will be varied.

ABOUT HMP Winchester… HMP Winchester is a Category B male local prison holding young adult and adult remand and convicted prisoners, serving the courts in Hampshire. It has an operational capacity of 685 spaces. There is a Category C resettlement unit, called Westhill, which holds 129 spaces. The Hearn unit, with 40 places, is a recent addition to Westhill and it houses Cat C and Cat D prisoners and those on ROTL. There is also a 24-hour healthcare in-patient facility with capacity for 10 prisoners. Prison education runs all year-round, all-day Monday-Thursday and generally until lunchtime on a Friday. It operates in the main department, in Westhill and ins various other locations.
