Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Salary: Up to £23,000 per annum (Subject to experience)

IN SHORT
Milton Keynes College is recruiting an administrator to join the prison education team based at HMP Bullingdon.
You will be a capable and experienced administrator, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, providing a high-quality service to both internal and external stakeholders within the prison and across the wider College team.
The role involves supporting the Education Manager in the day-to day administration and operation of the department. Your ability to use your own initiative is critical and you will need to be flexible and resilient as your work will be varied. You will be a patient and approachable individual, who is self-motivated and works well under pressure.
As part of your role, you will also support new learners through their induction into Education and be the recognised Exams Officer for the Site. This will require you to have a keen eye for detail and the following of due process to ensure that all exams are carried out in accordance with the regulations and that all requirements of the Awarding Bodies are met.

ABOUT HMP Bullingdon…
Bullingdon Community Prison is situated near the village of Arncott in Bicester, Oxon. HMP Bullingdon is a complex prison that has several functions. It is categorized as a local category B prison which a category C resettlement function. HMP Bullingdon has the capacity to hold 1114 offenders all serving a range of sentences from remand to life, with the average length of stay between 3 and 6 months.
The College works closely with our prison colleagues to deliver short to medium courses that help prepare learners for employment upon release. Courses include: English and Maths Functional Skills (Entry 2 to Level 2), ESOL, ICT, Barista, Hospitality, Business, Self-Employment, Personal Development, Art, Painting & Decorating, Horticulture, General Maintenance Skills, Mentoring and Barbering.
