Renumeration: £5,000 pa

Achieve Training is the largest independent provider of apprenticeship training in Staffordshire. It prepares young people for work, supports adults into employment and creates practical apprenticeships that help organisations upskill their workforce. As one of three businesses that come together under the we are aspire brand, (Achieve Training, Aspire Housing & Realise charity) with the shared vision of Building Better Futures by Putting People First, we blend commercial expertise with social purpose and revitalise communities by providing homes, training, employment and support.
We are seeking to strengthen the Board of Achieve Training with the appointment of an additional Non-Executive Director who will support the Board by providing a creative contribution, independent oversight and constructive challenge to the Executive team. The new Non-Executive Director will bring an external, independent perspective to the Board, assist with strategy, help develop the business and ensure that risks are suitably managed in order to support we are aspire realise its vision.
For this role, we seek someone with extensive, senior level experience in the education sector, preferably in the field of further education, to complement the wide range of skills, knowledge and experience that we currently have on the Board. Your significant knowledge and experience within further education will include an understanding of the regulatory and compliance requirements in the sector as well as an understanding of the external environment as it affects the delivery of Achieve Training services.
