Invigilator – Barnsley College – Variable hours – £11.48 per hour

NO previous experience needed.

Barnsley College is seeking to increase our pool of invigilators that we can call upon to undertake Exam Invigilation duties. This is an important role where you will start, oversee and finish examinations as necessary, whilst promoting a supportive atmosphere for all our students during their examinations.

Invigilator
MIS & Systems
Variable hours contract
£11.48 per hour

We are looking for Invigilators that are reliable, flexible and have good organisation and communication skills. The ability to follow stringent exam procedures and rules is essential for this role. Invigilators also need to be keen team players as successful candidates will sometimes be working in groups with 2 or 3 others.

Main duties include:

·       Assisting with the preparation of the exam venue

·       Checking student attendance and identification

·       Signposting students to their seats and distributing test papers / stationary

·       Completing relevant paperwork

·       Monitoring conduct and managing any suspected malpractice during external examinations

·       Supervising students whilst outside the exam venue as and when required

·       Collecting and collating papers at the end of the examination

·       Ensuring guidelines and regulations are adhered to

Although previous experience working as an Invigilator would be an advantage, this is not a requirement as full training will be given.

This vacancy will be monitored, and we will be conducting interviews for any suitable early applicants before the closing date.
