Learning Support Worker (ALS Stroud)

FTE Salary: Up to £21,768.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)

Actual Salary: Up to £17,649.73 
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time
Working Hours: Up to 30 hours a week

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • To support identified students in-class on an individual or group basis.
  • To provide out-of-class academic support for learners on an individual or group basis when they are not directly supervised by curriculum staff.
  • To confidently support identified learners via online platforms, such as Teams.
    Admin
  • Attend Additional Learning Support team meetings, wider college briefings & training events either online or onsite.
  • To work closely with the Learning Support Worker Coordinators, Additional Learning Support Managers and curriculum staff to refer new potential high needs learners following dept processes.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • Good standard of general education including Maths and English at GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent), or willingness to upskill.
  • Experience of working with young people aged 16-25 with additional needs and/or EHCPs. This experience would preferably be within education, but other experiences related to health, social care or in the community is also relevant.
