 About the role: 


The Library and Resource Co-ordinator role
at Ark Globe is truly exciting, as it lies at the heart of learning,
development, and community engagement. While based in the library, the
postholder will have the opportunity to collaborate with students, staff, and
the wider community across the academy.


  •         Play a central role in developing the Reading Strategy through a culture of reading, both for pleasure and for learning, within the Academy and wider community.
  •         Maintain an excellent presentation of the library space.
  •         Manage the device swap stock as a learning resource for students.
  •         Provide a reading breakfast club.
  • ·       Ensure that the library is a vibrant hub within the
    Academy, fostering a culture of reading for both pleasure and learning.

  •         Ability to communicate relevant information to the appropriate key staff members.
  •         Experience of or desire to work with and motivate young people to engage with reading.
  •         Knowledge of how libraries can be used to support curriculum delivery and raising standards for pupils of different ages (desirable but not essential)
  •         Knowledge of the current education framework and the needs of an inner-city, multicultural school (desirable)
  •         A good knowledge of and passion for books and literature.
