Satis Education are recruiting! We are recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Head of History, for our client school Birches Head Academy. The position is permanent and on a full-time basis and will commence in April or September 2024.

Birches Head Academy (part of the Frank Field Education Trust) is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and highly committed Head of History who will lead their team of historians to continue to develop their history curriculum and enrichment offer to inspire their pupils to study history at KS4 and beyond. You will ensure that teaching across the department establishes high expectations in every classroom through strong routines, great relationships and the impactful delivery of their curriculum.

In recruiting their next Head of History they are seeking the following from applicants:

·       Effective and successful KS4 and KS3 teacher in History (must hold QTS)

·       An ability to inspire and nurture pupils and develop staff

·       High expectations for pupil behaviour and learning

·       A keenness to learn and develop in your role and as a leader

·       A great team player with high standards of reliability, professionalism and courteousness.
