Up to £39,247 p.a. Full time, permanent post.

The college will support the successful candidate without a teaching qualification to obtain one.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated electrical installation lecturer to join our thriving specialist team of teaching staff to deliver theory, training and assessment to a range of students from Level 1 to Level 3. This includes full-time 16 – 19 year old learners and adults on apprenticeships and evening courses.  You will be responsible for your own scheme of work and planning to meet the needs of the awarding body and also take on course leadership with some of the groups.

This role will appeal to qualified electrical installation professionals who love what they do and enjoy inspiring students and apprentices to succeed. The successful applicant should hold up-to-date industry qualifications including inspection and testing and 18th Edition.  Ideally you will hold a assessors / verifiers award as part of the role includes supporting the internal verification of courses.

You will also be expected to carry out an element of tutorial with a group of students and record details on our online systems.

We can offer you:

·      A competitive salary, a wide range of generous benefits, as well as flexible working opportunities.

·      Rewarding employment in a high performing, professional environment, working with over 1,200 like-minded and friendly colleagues.

·      Continuing Professional Development, with access to funded teaching qualifications, apprenticeships and a range of other training courses to support career development.

·      The opportunity to make a difference to the lives of students of all ages within the largest Further Education (FE) College in East Sussex (judged GOOD by Ofsted in 2021).

This post is subject to a DBS check.
