Deputy Principal (SPH)

We are looking for an ambitious and values driven Deputy Principal to take East Sussex College into the next phase of strategic success.
East Sussex College is a large Further Education College offering a broad and inclusive provision that includes A Levels, T-Levels, Higher Education, work-based learning, Adult Education and supported learning programmes in a broad range of curriculum areas from entry level to level 7. Our current income is c£50m.
Our main campuses in Eastbourne, Hastings, Newhaven and Lewes offer state of the art facilities and each has its own unique identity and offer designed to meet each communities aspirations and needs. Graded as “Good” in all areas in our 2021 Ofsted inspection, we are proud of the high quality of courses that we offer to over 10,000 young people and adults each year.
Our 2030 Strategy is under development and the College has an exciting capital transformation programme in-train to transform our physical and digital resources. This role will be pivotal to delivering both.
This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring or existing Deputy Principal who has the drive and ability to ensure exceptional educational standards, develop our curriculum pathways and actively engage in external relationship building. You will play a central role in transforming lives and communities and contributing to the ongoing success and growth of East Sussex College.
You will be responsible for leading and shaping the development of an innovative, employment-focused curriculum and able to invest your expertise and energy into ensuring that students and colleagues are proud to be members of our exceptional college community.
As a senior post holder, you will be accountable to the CEO & Principal and the East Sussex College Board.
