Chief Executive Officer and Principal
WCG (Warwickshire College Group)
Warwickshire College Group (WCG) is one of the leading further and higher education colleges in the UK, with six unique colleges across two counties (Warwickshire and Worcestershire), we aim to deliver learning experiences which lead to the development of wider skill bases and improved destinations for all of our students.
We are a College Group that offers a range of provision, providing students with unique experiences such as being part of a working farm that operates in the same way as a commercial farm for our Agricultural and Countryside Management students at Moreton Morrell, or students at Warwick Trident College who have access to our advanced machining centre and robotic facilities. We were the first college group in the UK to be granted Bachelor degree awarding powers alongside Foundation degree awarding powers by the Office for Students – meaning the academic quality and standards of our degrees are equal to any university. WCG was delighted to be awarded the Queen’s Anniversary prize in 2021 for being a “leading provider of engineering apprenticeships in the Midlands”.
As our new CEO and Principal, you will be responsible for implementing the Board’s strategy and vision for the organisation, whilst ensuring that the College is competitive and inspiring a culture that makes WCG a great place to work, teach and learn. In recognising the important regional context of WCG, you will have the characteristics and dedication to enhance and cultivate key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders across the West Midlands and beyond. You will be committed to the importance of education and training to individuals, businesses and communities, and you will be at the forefront of driving the organisation to success.
We are seeking an inspirational leader, who has significant senior management experience in an equivalent organisation. You will have experience in representing an organisation on a national or regional level, as well as influencing policy at both local and national level through engaging with local MPs, government officials and other key decision makers.
