Formed in 2015, the Girls’ Learning Trust (GLT) consists of three high-performing girls’ schools: Nonsuch High School for Girls, Wallington High School for Girls and Carshalton High School for Girls, all located in the London Borough of Sutton. With a mission to offer an outstanding education that promotes wellbeing and personal development for everyone in our schools, enriched by the opportunities that arise from being part of an girls’ education trust, GLT seeks to champion excellence in girls’ education, empowering young women to realise their full potential and shape the world.

GLT is now looking to appoint an exceptional individual to provide vision and leadership to the Trust Board in the efficient and effective delivery of the Trust’s strategic aims, and to uphold the Trust’s values across the organisation. Key responsibilities will include supporting the Board in the formulation and development of the Trust strategy, providing strong and effective leadership of the Trust, and upholding and promoting the Trust’s inclusive vision.

The successful candidate will bring strong and effective leadership to inspire staff within the Trust and our schools to achieve the highest levels of performance and ensure a culture of continuous improvement. Articulate and insightful, they will have significant, senior-level experience in a UK educational institution and proven ability to operate both strategically and operationally. They will be committed to aspirational school improvement and share the Trust values.
