We are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant who is outgoing, enthusiastic and a flexible member of support staff to join our well regarded, successful and supportive team. We are seeking an individual who enjoys working with young people; someone who puts children first and has good communication and organisational skills

The SEN Teaching Assistant will work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with a named student, in or out of the classroom. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources. You may also supervise whole classes occasionally during the short-term absence of teachers. The primary focus will be to maintain good order and to keep a named student on task and respond to questions and generally assist a named student to undertake set activities.

Broadlands Academy is an 11-16 learning community and proud to be part of Academies Enterprise Trust family of schools. For every student who attends our Academy, we aim to raise their aspirations, broaden their horizons and promote a life-long love of learning. We have recently received an OFSTED ‘Good’ and High Performance Learning School Award Accreditation. We are situated in extensive grounds and ideally located between Bath and Bristol. We benefit from a number of links with the local community and have an excellent reputation.

It is a truly exciting time to join the team at Broadlands with the Academy being led by our Interim Principal, Helen Simmons, who is passionate in ensuring that all our students are empowered and inspired by their educational experience providing them with the best possible toolkit for their life after Broadlands.
