Additionally, the College operates specialist provisions for young people with additional learning needs, including Weston House, a residential facility, a day nursery, and a holiday playscheme.
About the role
Bridgend College has seen significant development in recent years, with the opening of the state-of-the-art STEAM Academy and plans for a new £80 million Town Centre campus. The institution is now in the penultimate year of its strategic plan and is looking for a new Principal & CEO to lead the College into 2030.

They should demonstrate an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the sector, as well as an ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders, including college leaders, Welsh Government officials, community leaders, and employers.

The College’s working culture emphasizes respect, staff well-being, and a supportive and trusting environment.
The new leader is expected to be engaged and visible, promoting the College’s reputation, influencing decision-makers for the benefit of students and communities, and building positive relationships with peers. They should prioritise the interests of learners and the long-term prosperity of the College.
Bridgend College is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusivity in its recruitment processes and encourages applications from underrepresented groups, including disabled, female, and minority applicants. The institution is open to making adjustments to support applicants throughout the application process.
