REQUIRED FOR JANUARY 2021 OR SOONER IF POSSIBLE
Are you committed and passionate about therapeutic SEND Education? Are you an outstanding teacher who is willing to go above and beyond to deliver the very best opportunities and outcomes for all pupils?
We are looking for an experienced school leader to join our strong successful established team. This is a real opportunity to make a difference for the children that we teach. This is a role which combines strategic development with operational delivery daily.
Lexden Springs School is a large maintained special school for SLD ASC and PMLD children and young people aged 3-19. The school is located in Colchester, Essex, in a brand new purposed built building.
At Lexden Springs School, Positive Behaviour Support and Person-Centred Approaches are of paramount importance and you will be able to contribute to the continued strategic and operational development of this.
We offer small class groups, high staffing ratios and excellent opportunities for training and continued professional development as well as awesome children, parents and staff.
Whilst it is a non class based role, you will have a heavy involvement working with and interacting with our children on a daily basis. You will also be expected to teach as lesson as part of the interview process.
As a member of the School Leadership Team you will play a critical role in the translation of its vision into clear objectives that promote and sustain measurable school development; ensuring that the school continuously improves and is aspirational for our students.
You will have the opportunity to work in close collaboration with the School Governing Body.
You will have responsibility for either the curriculum or assessment or behaviour.
Previous experience in a SEND school (Ideally SLD and PMLD) and some experience in a Senior Leader role are prerequisites for the role. Tours are available for those meeting the prerequisite requirements.
Lexden Springs School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As part of the Safer Recruitment process the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
