Vice Principal – Curriculum
Wigan and Leigh College is seeking to appoint an inspirational and innovative Vice Principal to lead the college’s 16-18 and HE Provision.
Working as part of a small, high performing Executive leadership team, reporting directly to the Principal, the successful candidate will be the strategic lead for curriculum and quality developing a responsive curriculum that meets the needs of our students and employers and the local and regional economic agenda. Building our teaching, learning and pastoral care strategies and procedures you will lead on delivering and securing an outstanding learner experience and positive destinations for our students. The college is an anchor institution for the town and local area and we are ambitious for our students and the local economy.
Working with a team of Assistant Principals and Curriculum Heads you will lead the college’s curriculum departments including our Centres of Excellence in Engineering, Sport, Health & Care and Art & Design as well as being the strategic lead for the college as a member of the recently approved Greater Manchester Institute of Technology.
You will have extensive experience within an FE college, be innovative in your thinking and planning capacity and support partnership working through excellent communication skills and an ethos of teamwork.
