Executive education leaders sought for trustee / non-executive director (NED) roles
Could you become an Academy Ambassador? As trusts develop and mature, many boards seek to strengthen their diversity of perspectives by appointing trustees from a wide range of backgrounds, including from the education sector.
Senior executive leaders in education bring expertise to academy trust boards from working across multiple schools and/or trusts within a community, region or nationally. This is an opportunity to have positive influence beyond your current scope and to pass on valuable experience more widely.
Becoming a trustee role can offer the chance to experience new contexts, apply insights in different capacities, develop personal leadership skills and competencies and gain exposure to new perspectives and alternative practice.
This is a strategic, ‘eyes on, hands off’ commitment which typically involves attending c. six board meetings per year/6-8 hours’ time per month.
- ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
